Simon Godfrey: Destiny Racer @ The Melbourne International Comedy Festival

The high-octane story of a legend’s return to the track. To win the 1954 Le Mans 24-hour automobile race, Jean Shaffer must beat the odds and a cowboy competing on horseback. Godfrey’s character-filled epic will transport you to a world of turbocharged silliness and racing glory.

The Bridge Builders @ Short+Sweet Festival Sydney

Coming to the world's biggest short play festival...

The winners of Short+Sweet Best Script, Best Director & Best Actor 2013 return with a comedy about a time when megastructures were built by mavericks with a dream.

Behind every great marvel of engineering lies a person of vision. Howard Lewarde was once such an individual. Haunted by his past, beholden to investors and tormented by his pet iguana, Howard’s latest project to build a bridge from Colorado to Zurich is under threat. Howard has made cost cutting shortcuts and his chief engineer Donovan refuses to continue work. At stake are reputations, dreams, the respect of a lizard and the greatest bridge ever conceived.

Simon Godfrey: Sauce @ Perth Fringe World

The sauce train is rollin' west. Sauce train, is that a thing? Who cares?

In February I'll be presenting my one man show Sauce, a comedy that has more tomato sauce than a Grand Final Day BBQ.

It's epic and at one stage I play two yachts. But what's it all about? Here's some exciting copy to explain...

Not only is sauce the primary industry of schoolboy Max’s hometown, it’s a sacred condiment.

When Max refuses sauce at a sausage sizzle all hell breaks loose and the world is pushed to the brink of WW3. As his conniving principal, Vladimir Putin and the forces of evil conspire against him, Max must make a final stand.

This show is dedicated to all the brave souls out there who don’t like tomato sauce.

Simon Godfrey plays a cast of thousands (ok not thousands, but quite a few), in a show with more tomato sauce than is recommended by the Heart Foundation.
